The Lazy Lake connects to the Crawfish River creating an 80 mile tributary to the Rock River.

The Lazy Lake and surrounding tributaries comprise of over 5 miles of kayaking and wildlife viewing.

Outdoor Hot Tub for Your Relaxation

Use the Lazy Lake Retreat Center hot tub year round.

The hot tub is only for persons ages 16 and older. Our Coleman hot tub fits 2-4 adults.

Nothing soothes the muscles like a warm dip in the hot tub on a brisk Wisconsin day at the lake.

Warm Up in the Sauna

Rental includes the use of the personal sauna in the lower level of the retreat center.

This is a new sauna, purchased in 2023, and is disinfected after each event reservation.

World Renowned Wild Goose Trailhead just 25 Minutes Away

This 35-mile rail trail skirts the western edge of the vast Horicon Marsh National Wildlife Refuge. It’s a world-famous home to over 240 migrant bird species.

This is Wisconsin’s first “cooperative” state trail and is maintained by both Dodge and Fond Du Lac counties.

Campfires, Hammocks, and Lawn Games

We provide you with firewood for your stay to enjoy in our outdoor fire ring. You’ll find a variety of hammocks and lounge chairs for outdoor relaxing and reflection.

10 Minute Drive to Columbus

The Lazy Lake Retreat Center is just 10 minutes from Columbus for your grocery and shopping needs. Columbus also has a hospital should you need any emergency services.

Columbus is an antique hunter’s paradise, boasting Wisconsin’s largest antique mall at 78,000 sq. ft. and over 400 booths and vendors.

Columbus also has many restaurants from fast-food and chain locations, to mom-and-pop diners and local fare.

Fishing on the Lazy Lake

There is great fishing fun to be had on the Lazy Lake whether from the dock or out in a kayak or pedal boat. We 4 poles and tackle in the boathouse for your use, but if you’re more serious about fishing, we suggest you bring your own rods, bait, and tackle.

The DNR Lazy Lake site states that Largemouth Bass, Panfish, and Northern Pike are all common in the lake, with Walleye being present
as well.

The closest location to buy a fishing license is 10 minutes south at Neimann Ace Hardware located at 815 Park Ave, Columbus, WI 53925

You are responsible for knowing the rules and regulations, and all persons 16 years of age or older must posses a valid Wisconsin Fishing License while fishing. This DNR page is a good reference but may not contain all the fishing rules and regulations.
